The Ortega standard

A shirting cloth begins long before it reaches the cutting table. Ortega works from the relationship between fibre, yarn, construction and finish, because each decision is felt in the cutting, sewing and wearing.
Construction
Poplin, twill, Oxford, warp-dyed denim and voile are not decorative categories. Each construction establishes its own balance of surface, body and movement.
Finish
European finishing completes the cloth with attention to hand, surface and consistency. It is considered as part of the fabric, not added afterwards.
